The Rotary Club of Forsyth came out with me to serve one of our disabled veterans. JB Bader, Claire McDonald, Max Couch, Jeremy Skinner, Dennis Gravitt and Josh Bray with his son Matthew all worked hard for four hours. A special ‘thank you’ to Dennis Gravitt for bringing the coolest toy on earth. His tractor with a bush hog and bucket made quick work of the two nasty sections. Josh said when he was getting ready to leave the house this morning to come work, he asked his son Matthew, if he wanted to go work in a strangers yard for a few hours and he immediately said, “Yes”. I think the young man is about 11 and to see a kid that age work for four hours in the yard of someone he’s never met, knowing he wouldn’t get paid, was inspirational. And he can cut some grass like a pro. The world needs more Matthew Brays. Thank you all for coming out this morning. We left a sweaty mess, but we all made a difference. Service Before Self!
Want to give a big thanks to Cain Equipment in Clermont for giving us an awesome deal on this beast! We will be able to knock out more yards faster now. Even though Mr. Cain is not a local business he still believed in our Mission and helped us out.
